Protocols and Procedures for attending Campus and Classes

As Queensland Health and the Australian Government have now removed most of the requirements for being fully vaccinated to access premises, the committee has taken the view that from 20 June all members will be permitted to enter the campus whether they are vaccinated or not.

This, however, may cause concern to some members; so, if you feel uncomfortable at all you should use your judgement about whether to wear a mask or not when on campus.

As part of the risk management plan members are asked to continue to:

  • wipe down tables and chairs at the end of each class or when you have finished your cuppa in the kitchen
  • use the separated entry and exit doors
  • maintain safe distances from others.

If you are feeling unwell, please do not come onto campus.

Members are reminded that a current financial membership badge must be worn at all times when attending U3A Redcliffe campus and off-site classes.

Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance and throughout the campus for members to use.

At the end of each class, you are required to use the cleaning materials provided to clean desks, chairs and other appropriate surfaces.  Cleaning of surfaces also applies in the kitchen/communal areas.

When finished with your cup, please rinse and place it in the dishwasher.  Do not wash any crockery or cutlery by hand and return to the drawers.  The dishwashers are used for washing crockery and utensils to ensure proper sanitization.
